O plantio da safra 2020/21 de soja chegou, nesta quinta-feira (9), a 90% da área estimada para o Brasil, contra 87% uma semana antes e 93% um ano atrás. Os trabalhos se concentram agora nos dois extremos do país, com ritmo acima da média no Matopiba (Mato Grosso, Tocantins Piauí e Bahia - ainda que com menos fôlego nas duas últimas semanas, devido à redução da umidade) e atraso no Rio Grande do Sul e em Santa Catarina.
A virada de novembro para dezembro foi marcada pelo retorno muito bem-vindo das chuvas a boa parte do Sul do Brasil. Nas outras regiões do país, por outro lado, o tempo seco e quente voltou a predominar, e apenas pancadas esparsas foram registradas, aumentando a apreensão dos produtores em diversos estados.Mas há chuvas previstas para os próximos dias.
A AgRural estima a produção de soja do Brasil na safra 2020/21 em 132,2 milhões de toneladas, com base em área de 38,3 milhões de hectares (+3,6% anuais) e linhas de tendência de produtividade, que são mantidas até novembro, quando a maior parte da soja ainda está em fase vegetativa. Os números serão revisados para clientes nesta semana.
